OPC Registration Online

1. Obtain a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)

• The first step in registering an OPC is to obtain a DSC, which is required to sign documents electronically.
• You can get a DSC from government-authorized certifying authorities.

2. Obtain Director Identification Number (DIN)

• You need to apply for a Director Identification Number (DIN) for the proposed director of the OPC.
• This can be done on the MCA portal. A DIN is required to act as a director of any company in India.

3. Choose a Name for Your Company

• You need to decide on a unique name for your OPC.
• The name must be approved by the MCA.
• You can check the availability of the name through the RUN (Reserve Unique Name) service on the MCA portal.

4. Prepare the Documents

• Proof of identity (PAN card, Aadhaar card, etc.)
• Proof of address (Electricity bill, Rent agreement, etc.)
• Photographs of the proposed director
• No Objection Certificate from the property owner (if the registered office is rented).

These documents need to be uploaded during the registration process.

5. Fill out the SPICe+ Form (Simplified Proforma for Incorporating a Company Electronically)

• The SPICe+ form is used to incorporate the company and also includes options for obtaining the company’s PAN, TAN, and GSTIN.
• The form will ask for:
  • Company details (name, type of business, etc.)
  • Director details
  • Registered office address

6. File the SPICe+ Form

• After filling out the necessary details, submit the SPICe+ form online through the MCA portal.
• Once submitted, the MCA will verify the documents and approve the registration. If everything is in order, your company will be registered.

7. Certificate of Incorporation

• Upon successful submission and approval, the MCA will issue a Certificate of Incorporation, which includes your company’s unique Corporate Identity Number (CIN).

8. Post-Incorporation Compliance

• After incorporation, you may need to comply with other formalities such as:
  • Opening a bank account in the company's name
  • Filing your first financial statement
  • Registering for GST, if applicable
