Digital Signature Certificate

A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is essentially your digital identity, used to authenticate electronic documents and transactions. It's the electronic equivalent of a physical signature, but with added security and legal recognition.

2. Encryption: When you sign a document digitally, a unique cryptographic hash is generated. This hash is then encrypted using your private key.
3. Verification: The recipient can verify the signature by decrypting the hash using your public key. If the decrypted hash matches the original hash of the document, the signature is validated.

Types of DSCs

• Class 2 DSC: Primarily used for e-filing income tax returns and other government forms.
• Class 3 DSC: Used for various purposes, including e-tendering, e-auction, and digital signing of legal documents.
