PMEGP (Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme) is a credit-linked subsidy scheme launched by the Government of India to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship.   • Manufacturing Sector: Up to ₹50 Lakhs
  • Service Sector: Up to ₹20 Lakhs

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old.
  • New projects only (existing units are generally not eligible).
  • Minimum educational qualification may apply for higher project costs.
  • The applicant should not have availed similar subsidy benefits for the same project.

  5. Bank appraisal and loan sanction.
  6. Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training.
  7. Release of subsidy after loan disbursement and project implementation.

Typically 30–90 working days, depending on project evaluation, bank approval, training completion, and subsidy processing.
